The Relax Mat® gives you more control in pressing out tight spots as marked on
the muscle diagram on the previous page. Some do this technique by laying down
with a hand held under the Relax Mat® or the Relax Mat® over a firm pillow or a
towel (rolled up bath towel). Do whatever works well for you and your body
make-up. You'll know when you have it right because it will feel good.
You will use only one knob at a time. The higher or the lower knob can be used.
Press along the occipital "as marked" or into the upper shoulder on the mat adding 2-3 lbs of pressure, hold for 7 seconds. Some clients say they
can feel the tightness melt away.
Do your favorite stretches, provided by
your health care professional.
This technique can also be used in aqua therapy. Lay back in comfortably warm
water. Lay back against the compression tool and press into the marked areas on
the diagram. You can use it with our without oil. Simply place your hand under
one of the knobs and press it into these areas. Whatever works well for you.
